Caption Contest Monday: Dora’s Severed Head

Question: Who loves a caption contest?  Answer: Everybody.  Every Monday I will post a picture and give you an opportunity to showcase your creativity and humor by coming up with a caption.  And every Monday I will be giving a virtual fist-bump to the winner.  Have fun and stay safe.  For the previous Caption Contest click HERE.

Dora’s Severed Head

Mary Hope and her trophy

What do Goliath and Dora the Explorer have in common? They were both beaten by smaller foes and had their heads used as trophies.

This picture was taken at Mary Hope’s 3rd birthday party. At first I don’t think she understood why we were urging her to beat Dora with a baseball bat. Then she got into it.

She carried Dora’s head around the rest of the day.

Or maybe something else happened. Maybe you have a different idea of what went down.

Give it your best shot by leaving a caption.

The winner gets my thanks and a virtual fist bump.

Have fun and stay safe!

*********************************UPDATE*****************************

The winner of the Caption Contest and recipient of a virtual fist bump is…..

ROB!

“After her dad failed to deliver entertainment for the party Mary Hope took matters into her own hands
and decided to build a robot Dora. It was the stuff of legends.”

  1. After her dad failed to deliver entertainment for the party Mary Hope took matters into her own hands and decided to build a robot Dora. It was the stuff of legends.

  2. Daddy, you should have heard Dora screaming, “mi cabeza, mi cabeza” just before I decapitated her. Now I’m hungry dad… can we get some tacos?

  3. “I told that stupidhead Dora that if she tried to explore my turf, her head was mine!” Mary Hope on her triumphant decapitation of Dora the Explorer.

  4. Sensing a lull in the festivities, Mary Hope trotted out the trophy of her last epic battle because everyone knows: nothing gets a party started like a severed head (except for the severee of course).

That’s a great pic, Matt! Love it.
