Twigs (a Poem from the Past)

I won’t be writing anything new for a few days, so I decided to repost a few of my previous blog entries. This one is a poem that I think is worth your time.

Twigs

Sitting on the edge of
a creek that is flowing.

                                                                Thinking about the years and
                                                                how quickly they pass by.

                       Twigs from the trees are
                       carried along so gently.

                                                                                I watch them intently as
                                                                                they fade out of sight.

Our lives are so fragile and
                                another day is not promised.

                                                                                           Savor each moment for the
                                                                                           moments do not last.
