A Poem About Mary

Fearful at first;
unsure,
unsettled.

Hearing the
unbelievable,
amazing.

Why her?
Why now?

Faithful at last;
blessed,
ready
.

Luke 1:26-38

  1. Mary, we fail to understand how difficult it was having the son of God in her womb. Especially with those rabbid pharisees walking the earth.

    Great poem Matt.

  2. Mary’s faithfulness was pretty amazing. Granted, I’m male – so it’s hard for me to really think about the prospect of being impregnated. But I can imagine knowing that you were going to have a kid as a virgin would be a pretty strange thing.
