Powerless Whispers–A Poem

Smooth sailing on
The ocean of risk

Is interrupted by
Waves of doubt

That push me back
Toward the shore

Where safety awaits.

Disappointment, my
Long-time friend,

Greets me with
Whipsers that I

Have heard since
I was a child just

Learning to live.

But once freedom
Is tasted on
The vast ocean,
Whispers of dread
Are powerless to
Prevent me from
Sailing once again.

With my confidence
Shaken I depend

On Your grace
And know that

Though there is
Danger ahead, You

Know the way.

  1. But once freedom
    Is tasted on
    The vast ocean,
    Whispers of dread
    Are powerless to
    Prevent me from
    Sailing once again.

That speaks to my heart. Thank you for sharing yours here.
